Is a signature made here legally binding?+
Image signatures created with this tool are sometimes called "wet-ink equivalent" and are broadly accepted for routine documents in most jurisdictions. For high-stakes legal documents (contracts, real estate, court filings), use a dedicated e-signature service like DocuSign or Adobe Sign, which provide cryptographic audit trails that a simple image cannot.
Draw mode vs Type mode — which should I use?+
Draw mode produces a signature that actually matches your real handwriting. Type mode is faster but the result is a handwriting font, not your real writing — good for a branded logo-style signature, less good if the signature needs to be recognizably yours.
Why export PNG vs SVG?+
PNG is widely supported — drop it into any PDF reader, email client, or word processor. SVG (draw mode only) is a vector format that stays crisp at any size; use it in design tools like Figma, Illustrator, or Inkscape. Typed signatures can only export as PNG because the font isn't embedded in the SVG.
Is my signature sent to a server?+
No. Drawing, typing, rendering, and export all happen in your browser. Your signature never reaches our servers, is never stored, and is never seen by anyone else.
