WriteGIF is a free online handwriting GIF generator. We are committed to your privacy. The text you type is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers, logged, or stored. We do not require an account, and we do not sell or share personal information.

We don't collect, store, or transmit any of the text you enter into the editor. All handwriting animation, GIF encoding, and PNG export happen client-side in your browser.

We don't ask you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use the service.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use WriteGIF. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect standard information such as your approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling Do Not Track / blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

WriteGIF is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Sample handwriting GIFs in the gallery are served from Cloudflare R2 storage. Cloudflare may collect standard server log information (IP address, user agent, request time) for the purposes of operating, securing, and improving its network. WriteGIF itself does not set any first-party cookies. The only cookies you may encounter come from Google Analytics (third-party). You can clear or block these at any time through your browser settings.

WriteGIF is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the service is fully client-side and accountless, no personal data is collected from any user, regardless of age.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL with the updated date at the top.
